Everlit is BACK! Since their single “Break Away” which spent 20 consecutive weeks in the top 10 on Loudwire’s Battle Royale off of their 2015 EP Renovate, the band will finally be releasing a new song.
And this new song will be debuted exclusively at a Philly show! If you want to go, you can purchase your tickets by clicking HERE.
The show will be at MilkBoy in Philadelphia, PA on January 20th featuring Everlit, Mach22, Siravo, and Night Mission. Tickets start as low as $10 when bought in advance, and will be $12 at the door.
We couldn’t be more thrilled to hear new music from Everlit, because we absolutely loved “Break Away.” Their genre of music can be described as similar to bands like Escape The Fate, Bullet For My Valentine, Asking Alexandria, and Get Scared. But it isn’t just their rock sound that we love, it’s their lyrics.
With lyrics like, “You never see what I see / The weight you’re putting on me / We never seem to see eye to eye / I keep running away / But I’m so quick to return / This battle in me is starting to burn,” a story is being told. Ryan Panfil (vocalist of Everlit) is talking about how a person can sometimes be the thing that’s holding you back.
Throughout the song, Ryan sings, “You’re no good, I need out / Gotta break away, Gotta break away / You bring me down, You’re so contagious,” showing that when someone is bringing you down that badly, you simply have to break away.
With all the issues going on in the world today, this is an important message to hear. Because nobody should ever let someone take advantage of them, especially to the point where they feel like they’re drowning. A band with great music is one thing, but Everlit is a band with an important message. We appreciate that they’re using their music as an outlet to help others while expressing their emotions all at the same time.
Everlit is currently in the studio with Taylor Larson recording their second EP. Taylor has engineered, and/or mixed tracks for bands like Asking Alexandria, Periphery, From First To Last, I See Stars, Veil Of Maya, Darkest Hour, The Dangerous Summer, and more. Be sure to follow the band on social media to stay updated on an official release date for their new album.
