Darren Parry, the Welsh songwriter & singer, and the multiple award winner released new single, “The Grass Is Not Always Greener” on 28th January. This latest hit followed a successful and eventful year for the Welsh songwriter and singer, including Lee Gilbert and Nina Jones. He wrote the popular song, “Soar” for Lee Gilbert. Darren Parry’s latest single “The Grass Is Not Always Greener” is making its way to everybody’s favorite playlist. With Darren on lead acoustic guitar and vocals, this new Rock/country and upbeat single is this year’s one of the biggest hit.
Darren Parry: Early Life
Darren Parry was born in the town of Merthyr Tydfil in South Wales. From a very early age, Darren was interested in music. Darren’s mother used to play the Motown Records, which became an integral part of Darren’s DNA & that actually fuelled Darren’s love for the melodic hook-laden songs, which Darren embellished by while he grew up with the eighties Rock & Pop. He was not just fascinated and obsessed with the musicians and singers of the songs, but also by the songs’ producers and composers who were responsible for these hits. Darren soon started to study the magic of song writing of Diane Warren, Desmond Child, & Mutt Lange’s production talents and other talents that inspired Darren to pen down his own kind of songs. Over the time, Darren became a diverse songwriter and a singer.
Darren Parry: The Artist and the Performer
Today the world knows Darren Parry as one talented and published songwriter/singer. He is known for writing melodic and well-crafted songs, which succeeded in attracting the attention of some big names in the world of song writing. Darren Perry beat over six thousand entries from across the world to be the winner of the “UK Song Writing Contest” in the year 2004 with the song, “Reality”. This contest was judged by the members of “The Brit Panel”, of the “Brit Award” fame. In the year 2014, Darren achieved a position of runner up in “USA Song of the Year” with his beautiful track ‘So Into You’ and it was judged by Don Henley, Lenny Kravitz, Phil Collins, Gwen Stefani, and Alicia Keys. He sang as tenor or a background vocalist with the very popular “Black Mountain – Male Chorus”, “The Graceland Band” and “Sounds Familiar Band”. Darren Perry has also appeared in a number of TV shows like Test the Nation, Let Me Entertain You, Identity, Music Under The Stars, and Cuppa TV. Darren has also performed in other sports events as well. In the year 2013, Darren Parry lent his beautiful voice to the charity single known as ‘A Miner’s Song’, which was written by Darren’s friends Laura and Dan Curtis. Darren used this song to raise money and donations for the Welsh Miners-Memorial Fund. Darren Parry is also a producer apart from being a talented solo artist and a song writer. He has produced for many artists like Lee Gibert, Nina Jones, and Mark Jones. Darren has also co-written with popular songwriters, Dazzle Music/Larry Williams, Dan & Juan Lozano and Laura Curtis. Popular songs of Darren Parry have featured numerous times on SKY TV, Lufthansa Airlines, Freeview, Freesat, Nation Radio, The FOX, Big-Centre TV, BBC radio & on many radio stations around the world.

Darren will perform on 26th of August 2017, at “The New Crown Inn” and on 16th June 2017 at “Hensol castle” in front of live audience. Darren Parry once stated, ‘Whatever you’ve in life, be a poor, rich or from any walk of the life, lots of us always want what is on the opposite side of fence! Always want what we haven’t got!
