Troye Sivan Releases “My My My!” and “The Good Side”

Following his 2015 studio debut, Blue Neighbourhood, it looks like Troye Sivan has another album in the works after he released two new tracks. And we couldn’t be any happier!

First, he surprised fans by releasing “My My My!” which is an electronic pop track that’s all about “liberation, freedom, and love,” according to Troye in a press release for the song. He continued saying, “Throw all inhibition to the wind, be present in your body, love wholeheartedly, move the way you’ve always wanted to, and dance the way you feel – hopefully even to this song!”

Listening to this song, you can’t help but feel motivated to dance and be yourself, as he sings, “Oh my my my! / I die every night with you / Oh my my my! / Living for your every move.” Within the video, the camera follows Troye as he sings and dances to the beat, backed up by some crazy effects which makes the video even more interesting to watch. But keep note, there is a warning for viewers with photosensitive epilepsy, due to the effects that we mentioned.

The next single he released was “The Good Side”. Unlike his last song, “The Good Side” is a ballad that shows another side of Troye’s musical capabilities. Listening to the lyrics” I’m sure we’ll meet in the spring / And catch up on everything / I’ll say I’m proud of all that you’ve done / You taught me the ropes / And you taught me to love,” it seems that he’s sharing his feelings about a former lover. There isn’t a video yet and we don’t know if there will be one, but we’d be thrilled to see one that could possibly visually explain the story behind this track.

Listening to these two songs, you can tell that Troye’s music taste is diverse. Whether you want to belt your heart out to an emotional song all alone or dance around with your friends, Troye has a song for it.

As a bonus treat for his fans, Troye will also be performing TONIGHT on Saturday Night Live, which will be aired on CBS at 11:30et/8:30pt.
