Slayer Announce Final Tour Dates

After forming in 1981 and creating 12 albums, Slayer announced that they will be going on their final tour starting in May and ending in June, called THE FINAL WORLD TOUR. The tour will include the bands Lamb of God, Anthrax, Behemoth, and Testament.

“After making some of the most brutal, breathtakingly aggressive, all-hell’s-a-breaking-loose music ever created, playing nearly 3000 concerts in all corners of the world, receiving countless awards, gracing hundreds of magazine covers, experiencing the devastating loss of a founding brother, and even appearing on The Tonight Show, the age of Slayer, one of the greatest thrash/ metal/punk bands of this or any age, is coming to an end,” the band shared via Facebook.

They continued saying, “Slayer will do one last concert tour around the globe to thank their fans for all of their support over the years, for making the last three-and-a-half decades so packed with good times and unforgettable experiences, and will then move on.”

The band also posted a 30 second video explaining the news of their final tour. This video includes clips of the band performing live and tour posters from throughout the years. So basically, it’s an awesome video meant to show almost everything that this band has gone through over the years. But lets be honest, a 30 second video can never cover everything that this band has accomplished.

Never heard of Slayer before? “Raining Blood” off of their album Raining Blood is one of Slayer’s most famous tracks which was released in 1986. And to this day, it’s still one of the best songs EVER.

Between the riffs, the guitar solos, tasteful bass playing, the insane amount of drums, and heavy vocals, this song is one of the many that define metal music.
