"sleep" is about being overwhelmed by the thoughts that keep you awake at night. the drone/repeive track elements represent the repeated pattern of attempting to sleep and failing. each background vocal represents another thought preventing you from sleeping. the background vocals even swell at times to represent being overwhelmed. the song ends with the protagonist finally being able to sleep. this song was very intentional in the writing and production. i hope people can relate and like the chill vibes of this song.

"sleep" comes from my debut al, "isolation." the al goes into disappointed expectations of 2020, life in quarantine, and finding your political voice despite what people you love may say.
