a poem i wrote in 2014, but have not gotten to do anything with. this is a refraction of my mentality, a sonnet of sorts from my mind. enjoy the trip, and let the game begin.

on this day i ask of thee, who you are, and what you see. is it real, or is it just an illusion, creation of ego, a twisted confusion? is what you know truly real, is what you think how you truly feel. is it there, or is it not, is just another surreal though? your mind plays games; it’s just a joke, something to keep you down, to prod and to poke. nothings there, only your true soul, ignore the board, and risk nothing more. shatter the mind, and see past the lies, see what’s hidden, and open your eyes. the love is real, the mind is a mirror, something you want to see, but wont ever be nearer. love is the key, to unlock your being, love is who you are, love is seeing. cast your ego into the flames; get rid of judgment, of anger, of blame. get rid of opinions and things that don’t matter, things that cloud the mind, and make the illusions shatter. on this day, i ask of thee, what is your place, are you really what is meant to be seen?

shatter the illusions, and be who you are, love yourself, and fly high and far. be what you are, and not what the mirrors see. be the true soul, and be set free.

a game of chess, a king and a queen, a pawn, and a bishop, a rook and a fiend. you mirror is there, to keep you blind, to try and maim you, to hate and to spy. love is your shield, your armor and more, something that won’t fail, and will show you what’s in store. shine like a light, bright and loud, disband the darkness, and stand out. be different from them, be who you are, be an individual, and you’ll go far. reality is the heart, and the mind is an illusion. break the mind down, and destroy the confusion. you are a soul, in a human’s body, not a human with a soul, not just anybody. you were put here to do more, to be better than before, to love one another, to set the score. the game is on, you know what to do, you know who you are, not why, but who.

leave the mirror, expand the cracks. decimate the façade, and don’t look back. destroy the darkness that veils your eyes; destroy the figment created by the mind. on this day, i ask of thee, are you truly who you are meant to be?
