Likes - Paradise Is A Joke
Description
Our village hadn't really stood time's great test
Half ruined, crumbling slowly, the men decided it was best
To move on to better pastures, to take our families west
To a place ed "Paradise," where life was greeted by success
Now this was all from spoken rumor, but the whole town had agreed
Life here held no more promise, as it faded piece by piece
So we ed up and departed; we formed a fair-sized wagon train
Strength in numbers, close together, we moved on to brighter days
But we soon found
That traveling
In wagon trains
Is quite a pain!
It's lots of work
To watch your herd
And motivate
The lazy ones
Just two weeks into our journey
We met face to face with tragedy
We had run out of beef jerky
And one man had walked so much he lost his feet
My mother was struck by lightning
And we were attacked by indians
Not the kind with normal arrows, though
These were zombie indians, with zombie bows
Several folks caught the zombie virus
So we left them behind while they were sleeping
Bandits and sickness pestered us
Along with endless days of hearing folks complaining
I did my best to keep morale up
To stop those whiners from being so down
You didn't hear me crying
When I realized I'd left my wife back in town!
Dropping like flies
We've come to find
That the grass ain't
Greener on the
Other side, now
Things all look down
Will Paradise
Bring us to life?
Well, we finally made it to Paradise...It's not good... Seriously, where's the town we heard so much about? This place is a dump! It's far worse than where we came from! I've seen Ghost Towns that look more inviting!
And at that very moment, as if trying to make things worse, the skies let loose with a steady rain! I stood there, just letting the water pour down my face...We'd been trolled. But I've gotta admit...It was pretty funny!
Stood there laughing in the rain!
Realization slapped our faces!
This joke's punchline has made us all go crazy!
No one among us remained sane!
We danced around under the rain!
Laughing and skipping tirelessly!
We moosed up bad, but we don't care!
We took a shot, but life's unfair
Though we don't let it bring us down
We tirelessly dance around
Traveling folks who pass us by
Know that we have lost our minds
But they'd be nuts as well, if they
Had walked the hard trail we had braved!
(repeat)
(Paradise is a joke! Man we really got trolled!
Yeah, we're all too nuts to go back home! Man, I really miss home!)
(I left my wife back home! Left my wife back home!)
