As a kid, I always got bullied for the shoes I had on because shoes were a big part of being part of the "cool kids" club. I being an African kid (moved to America at 12 years old) my parents did not understand that they thought I was just trying to con them into buying more expensive shoes. When in reality I was just trying to stay out of being bullied. So I just didn’t let it get to me growing up, but it wasn’t until my 19th birthday that for the first time I got to spend $100+ on a pair of shoes, and they happened to be "Supra Skytop Muska Red Carpet Edition", and I honestly have never received so many compliments on my shoes in my life. It made me feel on top of the world, it was a great way to start newly acquired age. So ever since then I have had a thing for them, now 22 I still buy Supras and every new pair makes me feel like a King. They say the man makes the shoes not the other way around, but hey I feel amazing when I have my Supras on.
