i've heard two distinctly different versions of this traditional tune ~ one by joan baez the other by niteworks. the first version is a “folky” one, the 2nd is a dance track featuring vocals by scottish songstress beth malcolm*. i wondered what it would be like to have an arrangement which featured both styles of music? i kept the dance drum style courtesy of ezdrummer's “electronic edge” and added acoustic guitars over the top + an outro section which doesn't feature in either of the other two versions. dw

* well worth checking out is beth's “folkmosis” al, an unusual combination of songs & spoken word interludes...
