the genesis of this track came about after sue & i had been watching the jj abrams tv series “fringe” earlier on this year. one of the episodes was “the road not taken” and i thought that was a great name for a song. the actual backing track came quickly enough (based around the bass line) but the lyrics were a different matter altogether. i had the “this love will never die” part but the rest was a real struggle as, to be honest, i didn't have a clear idea what i was trying to write about. eventually i decided it was about those “left or right” choices that we all have to make and how our lives would've turned out if our choices had been different. since uploading version 1 i've re-written some of the lyrics and re-recorded the vocals. dw
