verse lyrics inspired by a friend's trip to lancaster castle and stories he was told there about the "long" and "short drops". the chorus comes from personal experience. a set of ladders and i parted company some years ago and i vividly remember it taking an eternity to fall the 6 or 7 feet to the ground...
