this track would've appeared on the proposed “house full of strangers revisited” cd along with several others that i felt needed to be re-recorded (mainly due to the advances made in digital recording since we first recorded “hfos”). the other tracks were “highway south”, “pimlico pals” & “crying in the dark”. sadly graeme passed away before we got the chance to re-record his vocals. so the version of this track and the other three have me singing what was intended to be a guide vocal for him to sing along to. as a complete change from the original i decided to go “off the wall” and play the instruments over an arabic percussion track. i thought long and hard about putting this version up as obviously graeme isn't actually on it but then decided that as this site is dedicated to the man and his music then it would be a waste not to include it and the other re-recorded songs ~ which will also be put up on site in due course...

the original “hfos” cassette version was split into three parts. i'm currently seeing if i can do a complete version to include on the site...
