when i was writing "on this day" below i ended up with quite a few "bits" left over and rather than waste them, i constructed this song out of what was left from the original recording.

i was thinking about someone i knew decades ago who i haven't seen for over half a lifetime! i was wondering whatever happened to them. the "scissors paper stone" part of the chorus was meant to infer the power of change and chance which is part of all our lives. dw
