the standard audio frequency ranges from 20 hz to 20,000 hz. what happens if the frequency being broadcasted comes in under 20 hz? that number is known as infrasonic. infrasonic sound waves have a frequency that is below human audibility; the keyword being “human”. perhaps the strange noises you hear were not meant for you. specters and out-of-world beings have a 18.98 hz frequency, so those who are susceptible may be able to see and experience things that many others will not. sometimes that station change is just another opportunity for whatever is on the frequency on the other side to get out…or in your world. it’s no mystery why some of you may hear things and see things; the 18.98 hz frequency being broadcasted is not for you, you just happened to be in their way.
