a combination of 2 basic ideas here. the first section of the song is about someone suffering a “crisis of faith”. whether that loss is in regards to a “higher power” or to a loved one the listener can decide/interpret for themselves...

the second section deals with the personality traits exhibited by those born under the sign of aquarius ~ the age of aquarius will at some point replace the age of pisces, although when that is (or indeed if it's happened already) is the subject of debate. dw
