watchin' the world thru a tv screen...
i heard 'em talkin' bout men and machines...
at times it bordered on the edge of obscene...
don't it's dirty if you ain't seen it clean?

i watch a movie and then read the book...
the difference lies between a glance and a look...oh yeah...
casting shadows of my own reflections.
no, i'm not lost, i've got the wrong directions...
i often ponder, if there's more to be seen?
i also ponder on what pondering means...

i had to laugh because i couldn't scream...
here in the land of the milk and honey,
people starving cause they have no money...
little boys are growing up to be girls.
a cancel culture is erasing the world...
i hate the people on the evening news,
their perfect smiles always give me the blues
they tell me lies with the words they don't mean
forget the fluff, they want a murder scene...
they wait like vultures on a war to arrive...
the only time they ever seem like they're alive...
